The boy's have landed in USA - Photo Gallery

Hi all Just a quick update for everyone pretty busy here and still a lot to do. The trip started off well with a flight from Melbourne on the brand new Qantas Airbus A380 to Los Angeles, we actually managed to fluke it and travelled over with the Collingwood Football Club and sat across the isle from the one and only Eddie Meguire. He was quite a friendly bloke maybe we can try him for Channel 9 Sponsorship next year. Once we landed there was no time to waste and we headed out to Kure Motorsport to check out the S15 that Leighton will be piloting for this event.

The car looked as good in real life as it did in the pictures and Leighton was eager to get behind the wheel, so still with plenty of work to be done and us fighting the jet lag, we left the boys at Kure to it and searched for somewhere to bunk the night. We had a practice planned for the next day with Kure but a early morning phone call saw a problem with the ECU and put the plans behind for the day. Not to waste a whole day we travelled out to Kure to let Luke work his magic, sticker up the car and met up with Andrew Hawkins from Ignition DVD to start his feature on the car and our trip so far.

Once we where done there we headed back to Long Beach to check into the Courtyard Marriot Hotel, a  awesome 4 star hotel, which was organised courtesy of  our pit monkey for the event Christian Pickering and his legendary Formula D sponsor Retaks. We finished off the night by heading to the Staples Centre to watch the NHL ice hockey, where the local LA Kings defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 in a sudden death shootout. It was a absolute amazing game and that’s were we ended our travels so far. We have a practice day tomorrow at Willow Spring Raceway so be sure to check back soon for more updates as we go.

Thanks
